Community Projects

As mentioned on our homepage Cricklepit plans to become a community interest company. This is reflected in the fact that Cricklepit works with the local community in a number of ways.
We help give training and opportunities to vulnerable people, and work to record and celebrate events in the community which support disadvantaged groups.

"The Project included a series of workshops working with Young People to produce short films celebrating community achievement. Communication throughout has been excellent, their professionalism and assistance in the staging of the event at the Barnfield theatre was very much appreciated"

Olive George - Devon Community Foundation

At Cricklepit we open the door to those with challenging histories and offer them a chance to change the way they see themselves and their place in the world.
We run workshops in which young people learn the skills to make films and soundtracks. Within this we help develop their confidence and motivation. If someone shows that they have both ability and determination, we will offer them opportunities to be involved in commercial projects.

"Cricklepit have produced a visually stunning piece of work...it leaves the viewer feeling emotionally engaged. They worked with discretion, patience and sensitivity" Kim Nettleton, Re*Flex Dance Company

Cricklepit has helped raise money in order to film positive events, from the Respect Festival which encourages equality, to the Venture Trust which helps young people escape damaging patterns in their lives.
Our films can be used by the groups who make these events happen, as promotion, for raising awareness and as a record to show progress and achievement.
If you are part of a community project and want it recorded, contact us, or drop in to discuss it.
